First Siege 1813-2013

 

When: May 3 – 5, 2013

Where: Fort Meigs,  29100 W. River Road Perrysburg, Ohio

Details: War of 1812 re-enactors from the U.S. and Canada will commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the First Siege of Fort Meigs by recreating authentic military camps and tactical demonstrations from 1813. This weekend falls on the 200th anniversary of the bloodiest day of fighting at Fort Meigs. Experience period military camps, musket and cannon demonstrations, battle re-enactments, hands-on activities, lectures, fife and drum concerts by the 41st Regiment of Foot Fife and Drums, and more!

Farmers Market

 

When: May 9, 2013 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Where: Downtown Perrysburg

Details: Join local farmers and merchants as they set up their booths to sell their produce and products. Memorial Day Commemoration

When: May 27, 2013

Where: Fort Meigs, 29100 W. River Road Perrysburg, OH

Details: Join the staff and volunteers of Fort Meigs in honoring our nation’s fallen heroes. War of 1812 soldiers and civilians reenact camp life throughout the day. A special wreath laying ceremony takes place at 2 p.m. at the Fort Meigs Monument. The ceremony ends with a wreath laying and musket salute at the Pennsylvania Monument.
